Top 5 Most Common Questions

We have listed below the top 5 questions that are asked but we will be looking to build up this page with our own new customers.  Please let us have your questions and we will be on hand to advise you, in line with the industry standard.

Shrinkage or cracking to internal walls & ceilings

This is maintenance that the home owner will need to take care of. Your house is drying out which takes 9-12 months. Shrinkage is normal as you start your day to day living.  Cooking, central heating and weather all contribute to shrinkage.

Garden pooling

Your garden is settling just like your home is drying out. We advise you to spike the garden regularly to encourage drainage flow, however, it is normal throughout wet weather to see pooling and no work will be actioned until a reasonable amount of time has been given for it to settle.  Mother nature , land settling & time is a major factor to the solution.

Boiler

Your boiler comes with a two year guarantee.  It is important to get it serviced a year after completion or the manufacturer will not guarantee the second year.  You will need to retain the service document for future reference.

White goods in your kitchen

It is rare but on occasions things can go wrong with domestic appliances.  If any of your appliances encounter a fault, please contact the manufacturer direct.  The numbers can be found in your handover pack and on our website please click here.  We encourage you to register your appliances as soon as possible after you move in as this will make things easier if there is an issue.  Remember to have the serial number on hand when contacting the manufacturer.

Scratches

We ask our customers to report scratches on the day of completion.  Any scratches reported after this are not rectifiable.  It is worth noting that not all scratches are deemed faulty, very often they are within industry tolerance standards.
